Ah, CGI. Yet another style of animation, totally different from the others. This, however, doesn’t really mean that Final Flight of the Osiris is good. It’s actually the worst film so far.

See, the problem with Final Flight of the Osiris is that it has awesome graphics, but zero substance. Basically, what happens is a man and a woman are inside a mini-matrix, sparring with swords in sexy outfits when their ship suddenly gets attacked by robots. The rest of the film basically features lots of guns fired at these robots and the robots getting inside the ship and destroying it, causing as much explosions as possible in the process.

The action scenes it features also aren’t very exciting. The fight in the mini-matrix is basically two people stipping each other’s clothes off. The sound effects also made no sense at all. Swords cut way too easily through air. And even though the choreography looks interesting, it remains uninspired. The robots attacking the ship also aren’t very worthwile. Basically, we see lots of guns shooting and robots crawling, but nothing that looks impressive.

Also, sorry for the lack of screenshots. I played this one in a weird format which doesn’t support screenshots, and I only managed to take one of them before my computer started acting weird. And I’m not exactly motivated to spend time to this one.

You missed the point of this short. It wasn’t meant to be thought provoking or deep, it was a bridge between the movies. Its been such a long time since Ive seen them, however movie 2 or 3 makes reference to the Osiris and that disk. On that disk is information about that giant Drill.

    Yeah agree with Null.
You probably missed the point because you didn’t watch the third movie. The giant drill was the way the Sentinels used to attack Zion, and the attack of Zion is a huge chunk of the plot. This particular film might not be a parallel story in itself, but it probably contributed, however little, to the real story. The point is not in the love story or the plot, or the fighting. But the fact that the machines are going to attack Zion, and that the city must be warned.

Final Flight of the Osiris is a bridge. If you actually go through these in order, watch The Matrix, then watch Final Flight of the Osiris, then play Enter the Matrix (video game that picks up right where Final Flight of the Osiris leaves off), then watch Matrix Reloaded, then watch Matrix Revolution and it all fits.

@Bam, It's Sharin no Kuni, quite literally one of my favourite visual novels of all time and it ain’t no fantasy harem.

@Aidan: That’s a sizeable donation, how are you still not in the top tier also have you played a fanverion sub here? Cuz a fantasy harems can go horribly wrong.

I put down 80 but it more 99 because of the shipping.
Bit worried they are being a bit too greedy. That 140K goal seems a little high.

The Last Fiction looks great, and that’s not me being biased for the subject matter. Defiantly the most expensive, polished and mature animation we’ve ever had. It’s based on a great arc from the Epic of Kings, which is the Persian equivalent of the Oddysee, and it’ll be amazing if done right.

A great French pc game just got released. It’s called 1979 Revolution: Black Friday, and it’s a Telltale style pick-you-story adventure game. It has a lower budget, so the graphics and gameplay are a bit unpolished, but it’s a historically and cultural accurate portrayal of the Iranian revolution, and it’s authentic and entertaining. Y’all should give it a chance when u can.

There are actually Iranian movies I fully enjoy, is just the dark settings hit us harder than people that are further removed from the situation.

@Kaiser: then given my testimonial your school policy made sense lol
We were banned from bringing toys, especially the illegal stuf; we did it anyways. Lots of kids’ tis went off “missing” tho.

So the Sharin no Kuni kickstarter is up. Seeing as they are putting out the 18 version and from there work on leasure of grisaia it looks like translation quality will be good. Bit of a dick move not including the digital version with the physical and instead making it it’s own more expensive tier but not a deal breaker. I put in my contribution, a bit more than what I usually put in.

@Bam: They’d never allow bringing in toys/games/comics back when I was in school, they thought bringing in such things would make the kids of lower income families feel bad for not being able to afford things.

When I heard about this arc being hard to watch I readied myself for a number of things. I was prepared to see Subaru die gruesomely, to see him tortured and broken. However while I was ready to see him get destroyed by others; I didn’t expect him to be the architect of his own […]

Kiznaiver Review – 60/100

Kiznaiver is a very different faire from Studio Triggers other works in that it takes a more serious tone and has a writer who tends to go more for the melodramatic. This is a tale about a group of very different people gathered together and have their pain linked to one another. In an effort […]

Kiznaiver -12

This was certainly pure narrative confusion at it’s zenith and in that regard I don’t mean that the events depicted were hard to understand but rather a general confusion on what mood it wants to go out on. In this episode we had comedic, drama and climatic showdown all hastily weaved together to try and […]

Bungou Stray Dogs – 12 (end)

And we get to the end of Bungou Stray Dogs, but this last episode doesn’t offer any conclusive ending, instead feel more like a set up episode for the next season. This last episode functions like a typically Bungou Stray Dogs’ episode; there are many good things to say about it, mainly the technical triumphs […]

Joker Game Review – 50/100

Joker Game – 12

Upon finishing yet another rather uneventful episode of Joker Game, I began to wonder just what this series had planned for its finale. “How best to top off a rather mediocre series such as this?” I thought to myself. However when looking over general consensus over the episode I found out that I seen the […]

I really should be getting Grand Kingdom or waiting for Mirage Sessions.
