The previous episodes had been rather disappointing. Sure, Misao and her feelings were nice and all, though the anime didn’t delve as deep into the characters as the first season did, and neither did it have the mystery of the first half of the second season. It’s been rather straight-forward and predictable, with as best point the great graphics. Because of this, I didn’t suspect much out of the current episode.

But boy, that was so incredibly charming. At its semi-final episode, this anime suddenly takes a step back and focuses on the characters again, and how the past few episodes and Amitabu have affected Sasami’s and the others’s lives. My faith into this series was immediately restored again. Especially Ami-chan and Sasami were so touching. :)

Now that Misao’s problems have been solved, she actually turned much more cheerful, so that the final two episodes can really focus on Ginji, Ami-chan and Sasami. Misao also made up with Monta, and the two are head into a good direction. ^_^

Sasami, meanwhile, is getting a bit annoyed at Ami-chan, who keeps clinging to Ginji whenever he has the chance, quite hilarious. It appears that Ginji was the only one who ever showed kindness to him. I also like how he also is content with spending time with Sasami, whenever Ginji is away. The two of them were SO CUTE when they were alone. At a certain moment, Ami-chan also started singing the same song that we’ve heard from him a number of times before. Really, that really works every time I hear it. Cute!

Then there’s still this matter of the other Ami-chan being released. He’s causing quite a havoc, Kanbu is about to die again, and he even crossed over to the normal world. Itoki noticed this, and she heads to Washuu to warn her. Washuu, by the way, also seems to have her eye on someone. ^_^ Anyway, things get even better when it seems that Ginji has to involve Ami-chan once more, in order to make the other Ami-chan disappear. This is quite a shock for both Ginji and Ami-chan, with some great results. The definite highlight of the episode was when Ami-chan found out, ran away, Sasami chased after him, and the two of them make up. Great moment. :)

Well then, the question does remain: will this anime end well? It does seem that the creators took a bit of time for it, so it probably won’t be incredibly rushed. This episode also made sure of some interesting development between the different characters, which also can be good. But what can the creators do to make this interesting?

The head witch released Keura (the “other Ami-chan”) and he’s coming to the human world to destroy it. The Keura is all the negative or evil energies of the witches sealed away. The head witch turn tells the other girls that the Kanbu’s true wishes is to take over the human world or destroy it. Itoki, who was warned by the true Kanbu, comes to warn Washu-sensei, who in turn tells Ginji… apparently, they need to use Amitabu to seal away the Keura once more. Ginji doesn’t want to do this of course. While he agonizes over what decision to make, Amitabu sings as a way of saying thanks to the way that Ginji always talked to him and even sang to him while he was sealed away; it made his hurt in his heart lessen. When Ginji goes upstairs after the meeting with Washu, Amitabu knew Ginji was hurting inside.

However, Ginji finally makes the decision to use Amitabu to seal Kearu, which is when he takes off. When Sasami catches up to him, she tells him she doesn’t want him sealed away as her heart is hurting and doesn’t know what she’ll do. Amitabu instinctively hugs her in response.

I also love the song that Amitabu sings…. I gotta get the CD.

Man, and it was already doomed to fail.
Well 8-bit is adapting it so I am sure it will be crap no matter what happens.

I’m glad I jumped off the kiznaiver ship when I did honestly. I just saw nothing going for it after 4 episodes.

Space patrol Luluco is better than it has any right being. Where Kiznaiver failed, Luluco succeeded. Plus on that last announcement of the next trigger anime…so…much…yes!

I’ll freely admit that my bias’s will make me actively just avoid something entirely or have me set with a pre-opinion at times, but at others I’m always willing to give something I’ll probably not like a chance to see if it’ll surprise me.

Joker Game Review – 50/100

When experiencing the wave of new anime each season it can get rather tiresome to notice all the teenagers fighting supernatural forces while gathering a harem through seer luck or similarly tired concepts. So when something like Joker game comes along and takes a road less traveled with it’s story, naturally I am well on […]

Mayoiga Review – 78/100

Mayoiga has to be one of the most misunderstood shows in recent years. On a surface, the premise alone has a lot of potential. Joker Game – 12

Upon finishing yet another rather uneventful episode of Joker Game, I began to wonder just what this series had planned for its finale. “How best to top off a rather mediocre series such as this?” I thought to myself. However when looking over general consensus over the episode I found out that I seen the […]

Mayoiga – 12 (end)

Mayoiga pretty much wraps up its story this week and for the series that focus much about anti-climaxes and inconsistency, this ending neatly conclude all of its main loose end. In the final twist of Mayoiga, it turns out that Koharun is God’s daughter (now I understand the inclusion of him in Mayoiga) and all […]

Kiznaiver – 11

I believe I finally figured out something much like Agata of this episode did. Over the course of watching Kiznaiver something in the back of my mind bugged me about it. It was something I couldn’t quite put my finger on but after watching this episode I believe it’s finally hit me. I now know […]

Bungou Stray Dogs – 11

Bungou Stray Dogs strays to another side stories this week, it’s pretty much set up for the second cour, and in that aspect this week is a success one, both gives us a new light to existing characters and makes quite a bit of impression on our new characters. I kind of appreciate how the […]

Joker Game – 11

Sometimes I wonder if Joker Game is intentionally trying to kill my sense of disbelief as it really does pull out some mind numbingly dumb things from time to time. Today’s “What!” moment comes right at the start of the episode when a young Yuuki escapes imprisonment by blowing up a live grenade in his […]

I really should be getting Grand Kingdom or waiting for Mirage Sessions. Odin Sphere Leifthrasir Game Review – 87/100

Oh my. Chinese Animation Guide – Part 2: Chinese Anime shows

As much as I hated the term Chinese Anime (Anime stands for Japanese animation, strictly speaking), this is the exact term for those shows.
