Short Synopsis: In order to calm down the rampaging Jomie, Blue shows him memories of his own past.
Good: Omg @ those memories.
Bad: What was the meaning of that death-card, shown at the beginning of the episode?
Overall Enjoyment Value: 8,5/10

Holy god, that was good. This time it’s really Toward the Terra’s turn to shine, as this episode was amazing, with as height Blue’s history. I knew that the Myu had a sad past, but I never knew that their past was this extreme. It all started when Blue went rampant, just like Jomie. After that, he got locked up, alongside other Myu. At one point, he couldn’t take it anymore, and blew up the planet, trying to escape along with the other Myu. Physis also seems to be a childhood friend of his, as we see the two together in their younger years.

Jomie will no become quite interesting, now that he seems to understand why he’s needed to guide the other Myu to earth. I’m not yet sure whether he has fully accepted this, though I believe the next episode will solve this. I also do wonder, who was the one who couldn’t manage to hold on to that final person who fell off the ship, back in Blue’s memories? I don’t recall I’ve seen the guy, and he seems a bit too old to be the antagonist for this series.

The rest of the episode also was quite a treat to see, that battle between the human forces and the Myu ship was really intense, and add that to Blue, nearly collapsing to his death, and the ever-awesome music, and you’ve got yourself a great episode. If this can continue for the rest of the anime, we’re in for something really special. :)

The death card symbolizes “change” among the greater Tarot trump cards. Visually it presented the danger to everyone: Jomy, being chased by the fighter planes, Soldier Blue, risking his life to save Jomy, and the Captain and the crew of the Shangri-la as they removed their cloaking device to serve as a target to give Soldier Blue time to come back safely. Soldier Blue will die soon, and Jomy will take his place.

Jomy’s telepathic message to Soldier Blue at the end shows that he’s accepted and willing to do what it takes to lead the rest of the Mu to Earth.

As for the the person falling from the ship, that was probably just some random family member.

I just completed watching all the episodes upto this episode, episode 5 isn’t subbed yet.

This shows seems interesting and I am pleased that the main character is not perfect . I think Jomie’s character, though he seems annoying, is actually realistic. No one would be happy if they are told to leave what they’ve considered home for 14 years.

Now that he realized that he is a Mu, I wonder what will happen next. It will definitely not be easy for him to lead this companions especially since many of them will blame him for the state that Soldier Blue is in (I hope he doesn’t die!), and also because of him the Ataraxia’s military were able to see the mothership. This will make his mission more difficult and hopefully more interesting.

Thanks for blogging this show. Its because of your blogs that I decided to watch this anime.

Heh, thanks. It’s always good to know my recommendations help other people. ^_^

Also, if you go to Tokyo Toshokan, you’ll see that the fifth and the sixth episodes also have been subbed by Anime-Empire and Saizen. Some members of the crew are indeed blaming Jomie what happened, and especially episode five should be interesting when it displays even more of Jomie’s weaknesses.

I was a bit of a prick for a while though when playing as DK though, suicide holding/carrying other players off screen, saw someone do the same sucking up characters as kirby…prick…

@Aidan: Part of me would love to play as fierce deity link in smash bros.
I want to see Belmont also because I’m such a fan of the castlevania series. In general I feel satisfied that all the characters I play as/use are already on the roster though. Roy, ike, lucina, Marth, luigi, Mario and Captain falcon, DK were the ones I used most. But predominently DK, Marth and Luigi.

@Emma,Tharja was so hot they removed her trophy from smash outside of Japan. Chances of her being a playable character is about as likely as Baynetta getting it.
And smash has far too many Fire emblem characters as it is.
@Raggers, Laptops bought and in the mail. Gonna get me a Vive VR headset when it comes out. Holy hell I will be blind when I am old.

@Aidan: I know a lot of friends of mine who will be running to that poll and filling it with fire emblem characters, especially Tharja.

@Aidan: it’s more the case that a few components – RAM, SSDs, GPUs, CPUs – are having the major upgrades around the same time. And VR is going to go mainstream.

I would have put in Ridley if you bastards didn’t already know that we all want him in and you just ain’t putting him there. There’s only two Metroid characters damnit. Samus and…Samus…
King k Rool was also a tempting option.
Good god…this poll will be a massacre.

Nintendo and Sakurai I hope you know what you are doing. I am pretty noble by only sumbiting once for Simon belmont for smash but you can bet your ass that people will spam bot the goddamn hell out of this as Petes 1 through 10000 vote for Goku for smash bros.

Death Parade Review – 65/100

When I heard that Death Billards would be getting a full 12 episode series called Death Parade I was quite excited. The one episode short looked to be an excellent concept for a episodic series. A bar which people are sent to when they die which decides whether they go to heaven or hell […]

Death Parade – 12

So this is the end of Death Parade. Or at least this is the end of what may be it’s first and last season. The ongoing plot didn’t so much as tie itself up but rather fizzle out. Leaving a second season to tie up loose ends. A second season that may never come. I […]

Parasyte The Maxim Review-82.5/100

Parasyte, along with Gugure Kokkuri-San, are the only two shows from the last season that I’ve actually finished, and that’s actually saying quite a lot–seeing as how I haven’t been watching (much less blogging) anime at all this past season. However, I figured I should at least write a final review for Parasyte, just because […]

Death Parade – 11

So we are reaching the final conclusion and things are coming to a head. Chiyuki’s memories are restored and we find that in life she was an ice skater. An odd choice but it did lead to a rather beautiful scene of Chiyuki skating on Ice as she recalled her past. Admittedly I did try […]

Death Parade – 10

So Onna name is finally revealed and newly christened Chiyuki plays a game of old maid with a storyteller. Death parade, you are doing it again. You are drifting from what should be the focus of the series and really pushing this ongoing plot thread. So we learn a number of things. One, that Chiyuki’s […]

Durarara!!X2 – 09

In reflection I think Durarara may have been a poor choice to blog. The reason being that when I sat down to watch this episode I was fully intent on finding something I could comment on. Then as the end credits roll I find myself at a loss to what to write about. With […]

Death Parade – 09

Well the end of the episode did get over melodramatic but still, a very good episode. It is rather amusing to see two people bond over a shared goal of revenge. Their thinking slowly edged towards a dangerous outlook it became clear that one of these two is not on the same wavelength as the […]

Durarara!!X2 – 08

No animation issues this time around thankfully. Really like the touch of Irelands flag on the cup Shinra gave the girl at their apartment. Sometimes it’s easy to forget that Celty is indeed Irish. Probably one of the few Irish characters in anime. And here we learn that the one who told the little girl […]

Death Parade – 08

Why do you do this to me death parade? You dodge your true potential and instead focus on background exposition or, of all things, comedy. Then just as I was about to lose interest and give up, you present the best episode of the series so far. Now this, this is what I was talking […]

Shirobako Review – 80/100

Nerawareta Gakuen Review – 84/100

Let me talk a bit about Ryousuke Nakamura. For a long time, this guy was my hero. He started off as an assistant director to Monster, in my opinion a big reason why that series got such a ridiculously solid adaptation, and then in 2008 he came with the groundbreaking Mouryou no Hako. No TV-series […]

Kick Heart

Okay, so I didn’t want to exit 2013 without having seen Masaaki Yuasa’s Kick Heart. It’s only twelve minutes anyway, and I consider him to be one of the best anime directors out there. The story here is pretty silly and mostly serves as a backdrop, so I mostly want to talk about the nature […]

Noucome! You do not want to know how long I have been waiting for a series like this. More than half a decade, at the very least. Finally a series comes along and puts the incredibly overused harem genre in its place. And it actually does it well. Thank you! So to elaborate: the harem […]

Normally I try to avoid spoilers with these reviews, but screw it, it’s Pokemon. Pokemon The Origin is a bomb of nostalgia. I’m not going to dedicate a post for my impression for the final three episodes of this series. It was just too boring to write much about. Silver Spoon Review – 86/100

When Noitamina started airing two series per season, it was amazing. Yondemasuyo, Azazel-San Z Review – 82,5/100

The tricky thing with these kinds of series is that you need to remain funny, and you need to have the inspiration for that. […]
